PT Mega Buana Teknologi (MBT), an IT infrastructure solutions provider and a subsidiary of CTI Group, in collaboration with NetApp, a global cloud-based data services company, is actively supporting digital transformation in Indonesia’s healthcare sector to improve the quality and efficiency of patient care.
This initiative reflects MBT’s ongoing commitment to strengthening healthcare service governance across Indonesia through the adoption of digital technologies.
Yuwono Pranata, CEO of PT Mega Buana Teknologi (MBT), emphasized that digital transformation has become increasingly critical, particularly following the issuance of Indonesia’s Ministry of Health Regulation No. 24 of 2022 on Medical Records. The regulation mandates all healthcare facilities to implement Electronic Medical Records (EMR) by (31/12/2023).
“Digital transformation is no longer optional. It is a key requirement to ensure healthcare institutions can deliver better, faster, and more integrated services,” Yuwono stated during a talk show titled Improving Health Care Operational Efficiency Through Digital Transformation, held in Surabaya on Wednesday (15/3/ 2023).
He also highlighted the success of RSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung, which once again received the Top Digital Award 2022 in the Top Digital Implementation category. According to Yuwono, this achievement also underscores the challenges faced by technology solution providers in enabling seamless data integration across hospitals nationwide.
“We are pleased to see RSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung’s continued success. With MBT’s technical expertise and NetApp’s digital solutions, we aim to support hospitals in delivering better patient experiences and simplifying access to healthcare services,” he added.
Meanwhile, Heru Eko Susanto, Sub-Coordinator for Analysis and Monitoring at RSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung, welcomed the involvement of IT and digital solution providers in advancing healthcare innovation.
“The healthcare industry must transform not only its technology, but also its business and service models. Optimizing digital adoption is essential to improving hospital governance and service quality,” Heru explained.
He further noted that digitalization plays a crucial role in making healthcare services more effective and efficient. This is particularly relevant following the release of Indonesia’s Health Digital Transformation Strategy Blueprint 2024 by the Ministry of Health in late 2021, which identified the development of a national health data ecosystem as one of the country’s biggest challenges.
Currently, more than 80 percent of healthcare facilities in Indonesia have yet to fully adopt digital technology.
“Through the use of information technology in hospital operations and services, we hope to improve public access to healthcare while reducing service costs. More importantly, we hope this transformation can inspire other healthcare institutions to follow suit,” Heru concluded.
