Surabaya (ANTARA) – PT Mega Buana Teknologi (MBT), a provider of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure solutions, held a discussion forum titled “Improving Health Care Operational Efficiency Through Digital Transformation” as part of its effort to support the digital transformation of healthcare services in East Java.
MBT CEO Yuwono Pranata stated that the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to contributing to improved healthcare governance across Indonesia through the adoption of digital technologies aimed at enhancing patient care quality.
“With MBT’s expertise and digital support from NetApp, we are here to help hospitals deliver better experiences and greater convenience for patients in accessing healthcare services,” he said.
Despite its focus on healthcare, MBT remains open to serving various industry segments, including retail, government, banking, and manufacturing, particularly in supporting data migration to cloud-based environments.
“Ultimately, it depends on our partners and future business collaborations that choose to work with us,” he added.
Meanwhile, Heru Eko Susanto, Coordinator of Analysis and Monitoring at RSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung, emphasized the critical role of data-driven digitalization within his institution, noting that data now serves as a central link between healthcare service units.
“Data is no longer just a supporting element—it has become a fundamental necessity. Data enables innovation, and today hospitals, institutions, and organizations rely on data to survive and adapt in a rapidly disruptive era,” he explained.
He further noted that all data generated must be properly collected and managed to ensure business sustainability, especially in hospitals that interact with patient data on a daily basis.
“From a service perspective, patients now have higher expectations of hospitals that have undergone digital transformation,” he said.
According to Heru, even brief delays or service mismatches can quickly escalate on social media, as patients today are far more active and vocal than in the past.
“In the past, patients tended to be passive. Today, many are proactive—asking questions, searching for information, and exploring healthcare-related content online,” he added.
It is worth noting that RSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung received the Top Digital Award once again at the end of 2022, winning the Top Digital Implementation category.
The award signifies that the hospital has successfully implemented ICT services in accordance with standards set by Indonesia’s Social Security Agency for Health (BPJS Kesehatan).
“We are very pleased to be part of this event, collaborating with technology and digital solution providers to discuss innovations and emerging trends in healthcare services,” Heru said.
Separately, NetApp Indonesia Country Manager Adir Ginting noted that as digital transformation in Indonesia’s healthcare sector accelerates, the volume of data generated will continue to grow exponentially.
“Therefore, it is essential for healthcare providers to manage data more efficiently, securely, and in real time, enabling them to develop patient-centric solutions that drive innovation and improve the overall patient experience,” he said.
Through its partnership with Mega Buana Teknologi, NetApp is proud to support major healthcare providers and hospitals in modernizing and expanding their data management systems.
“Such as RSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung—helping them unlock the full potential of healthcare data,” he concluded.
